CHOOSE A PATHWAY
England’s direct Apply for QTS service no longer accepts teachers trained in Ghana or Nigeria from 9 September 2026. Other routes may be available. Applicants from other African countries should check their own eligibility under the current official rules.
An approved provider assesses teachers who already meet the Teachers’ Standards without further training. Overseas assessment takes place in person at your school. The provider checks your qualifications, school experience, subject and assessment arrangements.
